Environmental Scientist

Job Description:

  • Aerotek is currently seeking a qualified Environmental Scientist that has prior experience with the following:
  • Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • HazMat surveys.
  • Asbestos/lead/mold investigations.
  • Daily project management of environmental investigative studies and assessments.

Requirements:

  • At least FIVE years’ experience in environmental site investigation, including field investigation and report generation for Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • At least 100 - 200 Phase I Site Assessments performed in the past five years.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Geology.
  • Professional Geologist/Engineer (PG / PE) is OK. Client will be willing to train.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to teach and guide inexperienced staff.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power Point, Adobe Acrobat and familiarity with basic digital photo editing.
  • Willing to travel locally (Northern Virginia (as far south as Fredericksburg), Baltimore, Washington) is a must.
  • Must have reliable transportation - mileage reimbursement to be paid.
  • This is a full-time position
