Job Description
- [Company] located in Berea, OH is currently searching for a Lead Scheduler for the Fluid Conveyance-Coupling Plant. This position will report to the Supply Chain Manager.
- This position is responsible for the scheduling of product to ensure on-time delivery, flawless quality level, appropriate capacity utilization and maintain appropriate levels of inventory while satisfying the customer to the fullest degree. The incumbent will also impact the following measures: maintaining appropriate inventory dollars (DOH objective), on-time delivery performance, and achieving SCM cost out project goals.
Responsibilities Include:
- Use MFG-Pro to develop and maintain accurate work center schedules that efficiently utilizes resources while meeting the ERP system requirements
- Evaluate part usage patterns to make decisions to control Inventory while maintaining appropriate customer service levels. Conduct ABC analysis on all parts.
- Develop and publish Master Production Schedule at the product family level for each manufacturing cell that sets weekly / monthly Production plans
- Support SCM by communicating trends in production requirements that will impact the supply base, identifying potential bottlenecks and suggest opportunities/requirements for sub-contract machining, and assist in Make/buy decisions.
- Determine optimal sequence of production orders to run on first operation cutting machines and release metal from vendors to support that production schedule.
- Coordinate the expediting of parts with Customer Service to ensure Customer demand is met.

- Consult with Demand Planning on future Marketing Forecasts and how to accomplish sales goals
- Perform Problem solving and cross-functional skills.
- Manage cost reduction projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives
- Follow and adhere to all safety rules, processes and procedures. Advise supervisor of an unsafe working conditions.
- Participates on various teams such as Kaizens, BPI events and Lean events, 5S Program
Position Criteria:
- Strong analytical ability
- Results and detail oriented
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to problem solve, both working with a team and independently
- Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred
- APICS (ISCM) certification preferred
- Experience with MFG/Pro preferred
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a scheduling/planning role
- Experience using an ERP system required
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
