Job Description
- Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs to and services heavy mobile production equipment.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Equipment Repair: Trouble-shoots systems on equipment. Replaces or repairs defective parts on equipment by use of various hand tools, power tools, cutting torch, and welding equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Equipment Service: Inspects equipment for items needing service or repair, lubricates and changes oil and filters, according to schedule, and fuels as needed.
- Other: Maintains maintenance records on all mobile equipment. Orders parts from equipment manufacturers. Performs other tasks as directed by Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager.
Education Required:
- Sufficient level language and math to read technical manuals, record repairs on report forms, operate welding machine, and perform other tasks. Certified welder preferred.
Experience Required:
- One year minimum in mechanical or welding field.
Skills Required:
- Excellent heavy equipment mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic and repair skills and welding skills.
