Corporate Controller

Our client is a TSX traded mining company with favorable Analyst coverage for their operations in Europe. Due to growth through in exploration and funding, there is an immediate need for a Corporate Controller to assist with the ongoing accounting and financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing corporate accounting functions, especially the execution and completion of Financial Reporting and audit packages.
• Analyze and address anomalies or inefficiencies within accounting processes and results
• Work with Corporate Executives in providing input on strategic initiatives
• Lead and mentor an growing team of accountants (based domestically and abroad)
• Provide ongoing due diligence support for current or prospective financing and/or M&A transactions
• Ad hoc Projects

Requirements:

• Canadian CA designation with at least 3 years experience with mining (either currently with a mining company, or within the mining group in public practice)
• Strong understanding of core accounting practices and principles
• Proven track record working with publicly traded companies (particularly within a fast paced and time sensitive environment)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (both oral and written)
• Proficiency with Quickbooks, and Microsoft Excel

Compensation:

• Up to $140K Commensurate with experience, plus attractive incentive and benefits plan
