Instructor Portable Skills – Upholstery (2 Year Contract)

My client, a world leader in the mining and supply of the highest quality iron ore to the global steel industry. With haematite reserves of more than a billion tonnes, a growing South African company and is the fourth largest supplier of seaborne iron ore in the world.

Minimum Requirements

• You will need a grade 12 / N3 as well as an Upholstery qualification. 
• You will be required to have 3 year’s trade related experience, as well as a valid code 08 driver’s license. 
• You will be required to pass a medical fitness certificate in order to be considered for this position.

Job Specification

• You will perform all upholstery functions such as covering all upholstery furniture and the manufacturing of any upholstery components as requested by key receivers. 
• You need to ensure that assistance is provided pro-actively or when needed or asked for by the supervisor or other team members. 
• Your work ethics must be of such a nature that it benefits the company and everyone working for it. 
• You need to adhere to all safety & health standards and promote good housekeeping on an on-going basis.
• You will need to have good problem solving, planning, tool handling and fault finding skills. 
• You need to be familiar with SHE policies and procedures, and have the ability to interpret drawings. 
• You need to be self confident and safety orientated as well as demonstrates good interactive communication skills
