Environmental Superintendent

My clients Looking for an Environmental Superintendent to work in an Production/open pit environment, The position will be based in the DRC

Minimum Requirements

  • Environmental Science related University degree or equivalent
  • Member of a professional institute
  • 3-5 years industry experience, preferably in an open cast and SXEW plant environment
  • Knowledge of industry best practices as well as being in line with international accreditation systems such as ISO9001 etc.

Job Specification

Would be responsible for the prevention, reporting, monitoring and treatment of all environmental related matters associated with conventional open pit Cu/Co mining as well the running of an extractive metallurgical plant (SXEW).

This includes but is not limited to the groundwater, air quality, runoff water, stockpiles, fauna and flora etc. Reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager

Benefits out in the DRC:

  • Travel allowance of 10K $, flights from KOL-JHB free of charge
  • Free meals and accommodation would be taken care of whilst out in the DRC
  • Work Rotation in the DRC would be:60 leave days per annum so about 8 weeks on 2 weeks off
  • Full medical, 13th check, bonus after completion of 3 years service
