Description and Desired Qualifications

- Our Grade Checker job will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting, large scale construction projects. You should be a self-motivated, detail oriented professional with experience in road and bridge construction.
- Grade Checkers set and mark grade stakes based off survey measuring instruments used by heavy equipment operators to adjust earthwork to proposed elevations. Grade Checkers must have a keen sense of their surroundings and a relative understanding of survey equipment. Grade Checkers will be working in the field near heavy equipment continually communicating with equipment operators on accuracy per design plans.
- Grade Checkers must be able to properly understand construction plans and be able to properly follow field instructions. Candidate must pass an initial drug screen and accept random drug testing practices. Duty hours will vary throughout the project, flexibility in scheduling is highly desired. Must be willing to accept and complete other minor tasks as assigned.
- Work Conditions: Load noises, heavy vibrations, construction equipment danger, climbing, lifting, inclement weather conditions
