Specialist, Plant Services Programs
Position Summary
- This position will be responsible for providing a high level of project support for plant services contracts including the start-up of new Asset Management contracts, the support of existing contracts, training of field employees, quality reviews, inventory / process analysis and supporting the sales organization on new pursuits. Additional responsibilities encompass day to day support of software tools, ongoing strategic direction for the evolution of the various product lines and managing project budgets associated with the product tools and services deliverables.
- Create a competitive advantage for Rockwell Automation by enhancing various plant service deliverables to customers.
- Professional management of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) specific to a customer’s repair process. Working with systems that enable the company to track its repairable inventory and apply associated warranty programs.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements in regards to the MRO/repair process.
- Develop clear working Standard Operating Procedures detailing process flow and operational requirements for day to day activities in support of the maintenance and repair operations.
- Develop relationships with the customer and key decision makers to identify the customer’s key performance indicators and create value-add reporting that will assist in the customer and account development for continuous improvements.
- Perform reporting and data analysis by gathering product data from customer ERP systems and [Company] tracking software.
- Create metric reports that meet customer requirements. Make recommendations based on inventory levels, failure trends, repair history trends, pricing considerations and obsolescence management.
- Responsible for communication between the customer account, [Company] sales and distributors and [Company] Product Management to ensure that required information is provided timely and accurately.
- Define tools to be used and train Asset Management Professionals regarding software suite of tools used for plant service deliverables including inventory analysis software, data collection devices, quoting tools and proposal templates.
- Provide strategic direction and communication to Asset Management Professionals regarding the specifics of plant services deliverables.
- Provide project management services for assigned projects on a global basis.
- Work to develop synergies with other product businesses to maximize commercial benefits of all plant services and enhance their position in the marketplace.
- Conduct regular meetings with assigned embedded asset managers to provide the necessary training and mentoring opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of experience in commercial or customer relations is required; as well as a Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years equivalent related work experience.
- Must possess data analysis skills.
- This position requires proficiency in computers along with MS Office Suite. The position also requires a familiarity with Bar-Coding, Warranty Pick Tags, Repair Tags and Order Management Systems.
- Up to 90% travel is required for this position.

- Experience in Supply Chain Management desired but not required
Desired Qualifications
- Project management or Lean/Productivity improvement skills is preferred. Basic knowledge of logistics, purchasing, or order management is also preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of plant maintenance and production as well as sales experience is a plus.
- SAP or similar business system experience is preferred.
