  • [Company] is seeking a Business Systems Manager – Oracle e-Business. This position will reside at the corporate office in Irving, Texas.
  • The Business Systems Manager for Oracle e-Business is a hands-on manager to lead all aspects of care and support of its’ Oracle e-Business installation. The Business Systems Manager for Oracle e-Business is responsible for the overall application design, planning, upgrade and support of the e-Business system. The Business Systems Manager for Oracle e-Business will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist clients and IT staff on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software. A proven record of leadership and ERP/Software knowledge is essential to ensure success in this position. The Business Systems Manager for Oracle e-Business will foster a strong team environment and possess excellent communication skills to effectively work in a fast paced and dynamic workplace.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Manage the Oracle e-Business application team to ensure a strong team environment that proactively supports all aspects of the e-Business installation
  • Manage all aspects or production and project support as it relates to Oracle e-Business
  • Ensure the application meets business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Review and analyze existing application effectiveness and efficiency, and develop and execute improvement initiatives
  • Form strong partnerships with key business users/management
  • Plan and budget initiatives, resources, and dollars on a yearly basis and ensure adherence to plan and budget, while adjusting according to the changing business needs
  • Actively engage business management on a regular basis to ensure business needs are met
  • Develop and manage detailed individual development plans for all team members
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices; seek out opportunities to leverage application usage best practices
  • Provide hands on functional support in the Financials, Purchasing, or Order Management modules
  • Prioritize all group activities
  • Ensure system health by recommending, planning, and implementing patches, system improvements, and upgrades
  • Maintain best practices according to ITIL and Oracle standards
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations and guidance on emerging application technologies
  • Provide functional and technical oversight and mentoring of the e-Business team
  • Ensure that system documentation is organized and kept current.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree MIS, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of IT experience plus 3+ years of management/leadership experience
  • 5+ years direct experience managing applications and/or systems management
  • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions
  • Extensive experience in e-Business version 11.5.10.2 or later
  • Extensive experience with Oracle applications and databases
  • Proven experience working with Oracle Support, and Oracle management, including escalation of Support issues, addressing SEV 1 issues on a 24 X 7 basis
  • Good knowledge of Oracle’s AIM or similar methodologies is desired
  • Knowledge of Oracle table structure and usage of Toad
  • Willingness to learn new Oracle modules
  • Good understanding of manufacturing business processes
  • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good customer facing skills
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to determine root cause of complex problems
  • Ability to work on multiple Oracle assignments (Production support, enhancements, and Projects)
  • Ability to prioritize work of multiple individuals in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Desire to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel about 5-20%
