Responsibilities:
- The Frederick, MD office of [Company] seeks an experienced environmental scientist with an emphasis on industrial hygiene [asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint and mold surveys and remediation]. Other duties may include environmental site assessments [Phase I/II studies], UST related activities, natural resource service areas such as wetland delineations, groundwater and soil investigations, geologic and risk assessments, hydrogeologic studies, and remediation system design. You will conduct field studies, prepare reports, interface with clients and handle related office duties. You will also be involved with client maintenance and business development, proposals and presentations. The position will be 75/25, field/office based.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Environmental Engineering, Geology or related experience.
- BS in geology or environmental science required; MS desired.
- Knowledge of State [MD] and local environmental regulations required.
- MD Asbestos and Lead Inspector licenses required; VA mold inspector license highly desired.
- 40-hour Hazwoper and NIOSH 582 training highly desired.
- Solid written and oral communication skills.
- Interest in marketing and business development.
