Field Services Team Leader
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Construction Testing Services Manager [CTSM], the person selected for this position will be a senior, certified construction inspector who has demonstrated leadership and managerial ability to develop and coordinate 30-40 construction materials testing [CMT] field technicians. A major function of the position is the efficient management of technician resources to achieve a high level of productivity and proper coverage of job sites while maintaining standards of quality. You will be responsible for the training, development and evaluation of technicians.
- CMT assignments generally include testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing and asphalt pavement. Because low barriers are maintained between [Company] departments, the selected individual will have some experience and knowledge of geotechnical engineering. Additional responsibilities include application of technical support, review of reports, monitoring project process, performance and budgetary conditions, marketing new and existing clients, proposal preparation and support, business development, as well as attending project site meetings and assisting with the resolution of both technical and administrative issues, as required.
Qualifications:
- Senior certified inspector with minimum of five active major WACEL certifications [C1, S1, C2, F, SCMI + nuclear safety].
- Two years of relevant experience required.
- Strong people and project management skills required.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of soil mechanics and evaluation techniques.
