Full Job Description
Our client is an Australian owned success story, a growing organisation that operates in wide variety of sectors that include Quarries, Recycling facilities, Transport and Landfill sites. They recognise that responsible management of resources continues through resource recovery, recycling with environmental best practice and performance.
Based in the Western Suburbs, this position will challenge your skills and enhance your experience, offering you the opportunity to advance your career as the business continues its expected growth. You will be responsible for the organisations environmental development and performance, across multiple waste management sites. In addition, you will further develop and implement environmental management plans, working with relevant site management, EPA and other regulatory bodies to ensure appropriate compliance is met and environmental best practice is maintained.
Reporting directly to the Executive board, this is a key leadership role that will require you to have capabilities in strategic business identification with the aim to increase environmental capability, maximise resources and environmental revenue streams. To be successful in this position, it is expected that you will have the following attributes:
Needed
- Formal qualifications in Environmental Engineering or similar
- Broad knowledge of Contaminated Land and Remediation is considered essential, preferably in a waste treatment environment
- Experience dealing with NSW regulatory bodies and auditors
- Effective staff management capability and experience
- Commercially astute with the ability to strategically develop and initiate environmental business plans, processes and revenue opportunities
- Leadership abilities that will inspire confidence and drive organisational growth
