The role
As Associate Hydrogeologist, working as a team leader within the business unit, you will primarily be responsible for project leadership, providing technical support and input to projects, and peer review of reports.  These projects will include hydrogeology, hydrochemistry, mining, coal seam gas and remediation services.
 
Key responsibilities
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Guidance, direction, and review of technical work on projects
  • Provide direction and technical know-how with regards to field studies
  • Aquifer assessments and suitability evaluation for dewatering and / or Managed Aquifer Recharge studies
  • Peer review proposals, tenders, reports, and communications prepared by other staff
  • Manage and support projects to insure effective transfer of technical knowledge occurs to satisfy client requirements
Skills and experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications with a major in Geology
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrable Project Management experience
  • Strong technical ability
  • Proven strategic vision and ability to achieve
In this strategic leadership position you will be involved in management discussions and leadership groups assisting in the planning and development of the business unit.  As interface between the company and client, your strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills will assist you in delivering tailor-made solutions.
