Synopsis

My client in the Engineering/ Mining Industry is seeking the expertise of a Senior/Principal Civil & Structural Engineer to join their team. 

Qualifications and Experience

• The candidate will be a B.Eng or B.Sc graduate, with preferably a M.Eng qualification
• Registration with ECSA as a professional engineer is compulsory
• At least 10 years work experience in a design office within the mining / industrial / commercial industry is deemed advantageous

Key Performance Areas

• Senior Civil & Structural Engineer who specialises in structural steel and concrete design. 
• The successful candidate will report to the Functional Manger of Civil, Structural & Infrastructure Engineering. 
• The successful candidate will be required to provide engineering solutions, and detailed Civil / Structural design within the Civil / Structural department
• Produce cost-effective and safe civil and structural designs
• Work closely within the scope, tonnage and man-hour budgets
• Adhere to the project program
• Adhere to Company specifications, guidelines and statutory codes of practices
• Interact efficiently with Drawing Office and other departments
• Maintain an effective record-keeping system

Remuneration

• Market related depending on qualification and experience.
