Chief Financial Officer

Our client based in Zambia, is engaged in the mining and selling of coal and mines magnetite and is seeking a credible Senior Qualified Financial Executive, with proven financial, strategic and operational leadership experience within a publicly traded company. We are looking to appoint a strategic Chief Financial Officer to help take the organization to the next level

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• ACCA, CIMA or Financial Management MBA in Business Accounting
• Relevant experience of at least 10 years in a large commercial undertaking
• Knowledge of ERP accounting package
• Proven abilities in financial leadership - strategic and operational

Job Specification

Main Purpose:

As CFO you will work closely with the CEO and Board, and will play a key role in all aspects of Finance, Investor Relations and Operations. You will be responsible for growing and managing the finance team locally and abroad, developing processes, policies, as well as to strategically develop and execute long-term goals and objectives

Key Functions:

• Develop strategic plans for long term financial planning and decision making
• Design, implement and manage efficient accounting processes, as well as to strategically grow and manage the finance team in support of the operations
• Accounting and reporting as per IFRS and legal requirements
• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting including monthly management reports, annual and bi-annual financial statements, budgeting including CAPEX AND OPEX
• Asset management, cost management and monitoring cashflow and cash forecast
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with various service providers including auditors, tax professionals, legal counsel, investors and shareholders
