The role of the Branch Manager to be recognized as the leader in his Business Segment internally within the Company`s Southern Africa Region, and assume responsibility for the local maintenance, development and execution of our presence in a given market, in order to create profitable and sustainable growth.

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Business qualification an advantage
  • 5 years in the applicable discipline
  • Languages: Proficiency in English (Read, Speak, Write)
  • Typing skills 
  • Sound financial acumen
  • Calculation capability
  • Ensure accurate scoring of client
  • Good quality of work
  • Responsible for Operations and Efficiency of operations at a regional level.
  • Overview of international and local contracts
  • Office/Sample preparation and inspection management
  • Responsible for all operations including safety and quality targets
  • Overview of local projects
  • Responsible for service level
  • Quality towards Business Managers and MD
  • Must have product knowledge, local, regional and global knowledge of the market segments, including supply chains, technicalities, and contractual terms, key clients (local, regional and international)
  • Must lead the quality of operations by overseeing contracts with key clients, producers, enterprises, including risk management partners when needed
  • Should at all times be focused on creating profitable and sustainable growth
  • New services in new markets
  • Assisting in budgeting process for specific projects and new service development
  • Development and implementation of reporting tools
  • Compiling of QSHE reports
  • Co ordination and implementation of ISO Standard
  • Shop floor reporting tools
  • Added Value - Development and implementation of operational tools and guidelines - Methodology/Procedures - Training
  • Liability protection (e.g correspondence, reports and certificates) - Ensure effective use of communication tools - Communication of information (with integrity) OTIS & Omnitrak
  • Create and promote strategic initiatives - Profiling (e.g. industry, clients and transportation)
  • Supply chain (e.g. Manufacture, end user upstream and downstream) Trade finance (banks, institutions, underwriters)
  • Adhere to quality and safety requirements of management system
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager

Job Specification

  • Cease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or enter hazardous environment without the necessary knowledge and protection and report the situation to higher authority to action
  • Cease to carry on with work that may affect the quality (integrity) of services and report the situations to higher authority to take action
  • Initiate a formal improvement request when a deviation of the system occurs, possible improvements are identified or when nonconformity is identified
  • Any person has the right to refuse to perform work that may damage the environment in an imminent and serious way and to report such a situation
