CPO Electrical & General Repair Person
Responsibilities
- Perform duties to install, maintain and repair electrical and electronic controlled machine tools, controls and equipment.
- Work from instructions using complex schematics, wiring diagrams, charts, tables and maintenance requests. Diagnose and correct electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical and air conditioning equipment in controls malfunctions and breakdowns. Troubleshoot and repair complex electronic malfunctions to component level using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes. Prepare or installation and install or remove machine tools in compliance with manufacturers' specifications. Recommend tools, equipment and repair parts to build or purchase for maintenance of the equipment. Maintain computerized or manual records of inventory and preventive maintenance programs. Operate numerical control diagnostic systems to determine problems with controls. Assist other maintenance department personnel in general maintenance activities. Train other maintenance personnel in control repair. Occasionally operate company vehicle to run errands as required by supervisor. Perform general maintenance repair duties as required by supervisor.
- Use micrometers, vernier, gauges, precision leveling equipment, multimeters, oscilliscope, power supplies, signal generator, flow meters, frequency counters, solid state equipment, dial indicators, soldering tools, lift bucket, weld equipment, company car and truck, ladders, jib and floor operated overhead bridge cranes, riding and reach fork truck, pneumatic power hand tools, hand tools.
- Employees are encouraged to participate in continuous improvement methods.
- Follow safety rules and keep work area in clean and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as required.

- Applicant must be able to pass the General Repair and Electrical & General Repair tests that are required for this position.
