Director II, Construction Support

Job Description
The responsibilities of a Director II, Construction include, but are not limited to:

• Supervises one significant project or multiple medium-sized projects
• Develops / implements policies, procedures and methods
• Maintains a close working relationship with Operational Management
• Integral part of two or more departments (Construction engineering, welding technology, NDE services, and quality support) within the construction / maintenance function’s Construction Support group, which provides construction and technical support to projects during the conceptual, design and construction phase of a project
• Staffs the Construction Support group with qualified, experienced, knowledgeable and professional personnel as required to provide necessary services to support construction activities
• Provides proposal support that includes input on Quality, Project Controls, Construction, Contracts, Estimating & Strategic Planning

Basic Job Requirements
The preferred candidate should have:

• 15+ years’ experience of engineering and / or project experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent project experience
• Able to manage multiple demands expertly, able to work under pressure, able to work independently and innovatively
• Team player, good interpersonal skills, good problem solving and analytical skills, resilience and perseverance, strategic and conceptual thinker
• Potential travel as required
