Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
- [Company] has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager – Central Shops Electrical at the Fairfield Works facility in Fairfield, AL.
- This position will be responsible for managing and supervising bargaining unit employees who perform extensive electrical repair and maintenance on the total plant high voltage electrical distribution system, including: transformers, substations, open and underground transmission lines and cables, protective relay systems, telemetering systems, switchgear, pole lines, and control of voltages up to 115,000 volts. Supervises, coordinates and audits electrical construction work and maintenance, performed by both [Company] employees and contractor employees. Provides specialized and routine maintenance service and advice to operating units, on operating turns and maintenance down turns. Will be responsible for implementing and improving [Company] safety program, to ensure a safe working environment within the facility. As part of a service group, this position provides support to the operating/maintenance organizations and requires being on call during off turns and on weekends.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power System Distribution and/or a minimum of two years Power Distribution experience is required.
