Machine Operator Trainee
Job Description
- Eaton Corporation located in Gainesboro, TN has opening for a skilled, metal-cutting machinist on weekend shift (5AM-5PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). The operator will be expected to complete training on 1st shift prior to moving to weekend shift. Examples of machines operators use include bar and rotary index.
- Primary duties include: operating machinery (metal cutting), monitoring parts, performing SPC checks, conducting capability studies and training on setup process. Operators will also be responsible for the quality of their work, involvement in problem solving activities, and housekeeping as outlined by supervision.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience reading blueprints, grinding, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gauging
- Respond to common inquiries from customers and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to lead person, supervisors, senior management, department managers and peers.
- Model safety procedures, report all accidents or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately and wear all required personal protective equipment.
