Staff Engineer/Geologist

Position Responsibilities:

  • [Company], a leading national earth science and technology consulting firm, is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer for our Portland, OR location to assist with a diversity of technically challenging projects across multiple markets. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow professionally and make a real impact while taking part in ground-breaking projects and working with leading edge technology.
  • This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to play a key role on a high-energy team of talented professionals collaborating on a broad range of environmental site assessment, remediation, and geological projects. Responsibilities will include soil and groundwater exploration, monitoring of field data collection activities including construction observation, data analysis and report preparation. May also assist with field exploration for geotechnical projects as well as provide opportunities for project and task management and client interaction.

Position Requirements:

  • As an ideal candidate, you will possess a degree (BS required, MS preferred) in Environmental/Geological Engineering or Geology. 1-3+ years of related experience preferred. You must be able to function effectively in a team environment, thinking independently while solving problems collaboratively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must! Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities and field work required, along with a valid driver's license. Completion of 40 Hour OSHA training preferred.
