Engineering Manager

Description:

  • Recruiting an Engineering Manager for a mining group based in Phoenix. This person would be the head honcho in charge of the engineering team, and spend most of their time organizing engineering resources. This person should be, at the very most, 50% billable, and can come from a variety of backgrounds that do not include mining.
  • This position offers the right person the opportunity to join a dynamic company as it expands its specialty into new areas, work on some of the most interesting projects in mining, and enjoy the security offered by an employer that almost always negotiates work (not bid it).
  • The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and engineering skills, probably at an independent consultant or corporate technical services group. A very successful candidate might have some experience with underground infrastructure. Ultimately, the main priority for this person is to keep a thriving engineering team well sorted.
  • The group has more than doubled their revenue over the last five years and successfully competes with some of the largest mining consultants in the world. Benefits, salary, and 401K for this position are very good.

Requirements:

  • BS Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering degree
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience with project management and engineering management
  • Willingness to locate in Phoenix.
