Project Managers Underground Mining

Responsibilities

• Work in a consultative capacity with representatives from across various business units to understand, and analyze business issues in order to facilitate project requirements
• Plan the successful delivery of complex cross-functional projects with significant business risk or impact
• Manage the day-to-day operation of all projects within the scope of the project manager, attend meetings, track progress, document milestones and ensure completion
• Some travel also required to Global mining destinations
• Work with senior managers in the company in activities including workshops, interviews and presentations
• Work with all levels of the organization assisting in conflict resolution, issue management and needs assessment
• Facilitate all key planning activities for projects along with cross-functional business groups
• Utilize project management tools and techniques to prioritize requirements, set objectives, deliverables and ensuring initiatives are on track

Qualifications

• Post secondary education with five or more years experience in a project management environment
• Experience in Underground Mining
• PMP designation is preferred
• Superior communication skills and interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide range of individuals
• Understanding of business issues and complexities within the industry and organization
• Strong documentation skills
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
