Senior Filtration Product/Process Engineer

• We seek an experienced engineer to participate in the creation of new filtration and purification technologies and devices for drinking water. The ideal candidate will have an impressive track record of new products launches ideally for the filtration industry and/or a strong background in running or developing purification processes, using either micro filtration or ultra-filtration products, and the desire to apply that to new responsibilities and challenges. • This position reports to the Senior Director of Research and Development.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, invent and develop new technical solutions for the filtration of microbial and other contaminants from water
• Design, engineer, assess and analyze processes, tests and test set-ups associated with filtration and purification of water
• Research, investigate, test and troubleshoot problems and processes
• Evaluate and analyze results to find solutions relative to customer requirements, problems and opportunities
• Plan and manage laboratory and early production projects using standard project management procedures and techniques
• Interface with external consultants and labs to perform testing in accordance with ANSI/NSF and other standards
• Collaborate with CEO, Directors, Engineers, University research teams, and technology and materials suppliers
• Communicate and report results progress and status
• Take initiative and exercise sound independent judgment

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer or Material Science, or Industrial Chemistry
• At least 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience in a product or process development role, preferably in filtration or purification technologies
• Ability to design, execute and analyze experiments to support the development of the product
• Strong analytical, statistical and problem solving skills
• Strong working knowledge of membrane technology, filtration, water purification, polymers and/or plastic fabrication processes
• Includes hands on work with an entrepreneurial mindset, needs an open mind when faced with complex and unexpected situations
• Previous experience with drinking water systems, biopharmaceutical or purification processing or beverage production processing is a strong plus
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
