Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSE) Superintendent

Co is partnering with Mastermyne, an industry leading mining contractor, to appoint a senior HSEQ Superintendent. Our client's presence extends across all the major coal producing regions on the east coast of Australia with a workforce of 850+.
  
Reporting to the site Project Manager for project matters and the HSEQ Regional Manager for technical and corporate matters, the HSEQ Superintendent will have a pivotal role in driving the Zero-harm initiative on a major underground Drivage contract in Emerald.


Description

Above all, you will be responsible for driving the Zero-harm initiative of the project through the following duties.
Driving the development and implementation of proactive frontline safety strategies and initiatives in consultation with site management representatives
Analysing safety performance and building a safety culture through the establishment of frontline leader safety accountability
Coordinating the site HSEQ Coordinators
Implementing and reviewing the project Safety Management Plan

Minimum Requirements
As a results driven HSEQ professional, your success in securing this position will be dictated by meeting the following requirements;
  • Tertiary Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental qualifications (minimum Diploma)
  • Certified Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator as per legislation
  • Taproot or similar investigative training completed

Preferably, you will also possess;
  • 5 years substantial hands on experience in similar roles (preferred)
  • Training Qualifications (Cat 1, 2, Cert IV) preferred
  • Accredited Internal Auditor preferred
