Senior Metallurgist

Our Client operates a first class toll milling facility to the gold industry with a versatile circuit that can be configured to suit different ore parcels to maximise gold recovery. In the current configuration the plant is able to treat up to one million tons per annum.

Three stage crushing, multiple ball mills, gravity concentrate and CIL circuit offer plenty of opportunity to optimise production and they require an experienced Senior Metallurgist who is able to ensure that the integrity and performance of the plant is optimised at all times.

This critical position will be responsible for ensuring that targeted gold production via mill throughput, mill availability and plant recovery is achieved. You will be self-motivated and have the ability to work on designated projects designed to resolve production based issues.

Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Metallurgy
• Detailed working knowledge of Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
• Knowledge of the storage, handling and use of reagents and the elimination of process waste
• Metallurgical accounting and competent in the use of metallurgical accounting databases
•  Strong report writing and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
