Occupational Health Safety & Environment Manager

Co is a leading and award winning Australian based manufacturer of specialised sub-sea and well construction equipment for the oil & gas industry. The company is a market leader within the many growing markets it services, in particular in the area of sub-sea buoyancy and sub-sea pipeline ancillaries. Production facilities are located in Henderson, Perth and the company is undergoing a rapid growth phase.

We are looking for an experienced Group OHS&E Manager to join the team reporting to the General Manager. This is a senior role and member of the Executive team and is responsible for developing, managing and leading the implementation of health, safety and environment protocols for the organisation and ensuring that legislative requirements are met.


To be considered for this role you must:
- Possess a relevant tertiary qualification with experience in applying this knowledge at the workplace level, preferably in a manufacturing environment (or related industry)
- Proven leadership and management skills including mentoring, coaching & influencing skills to effect cultural change
- Thorough understanding of the laws regarding industrial relations, workers compensation, OHS&E and related matters
- Ability to interpret policies and strategy and develop related procedures
- Competent with emergency procedures following incidents of various types
- Excellent computer skills (excel, Word, Power-point) and communication skills
