Asset Commissioning Manager

Our client is one of the major service providers to the mining coal industry on a national basis. With a substantial growth forecast with numbers doubling over the next decade; the planning and project definition phase are all but complete.
 
The priority now remains to ensure an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineering is in place to manage and coordinate construction and commissioning of a of a green field fuelling, storage and maintenance facility on a Northern Queensland location. This critical position will be based out of Brisbane and require frequent travel to the project site.
 
The role will be responsible for ensuring total delivery of the project installation, commissioning and a tested site to hand over to the operational teams. In this role you'll be accountable for managing the commissioning contractor and the Contractor Safety Management process as well as obtaining, managing and adhering to all licensed requirements. In addition to implementing sound project methodology and processes, there will be requirement for developing asset and maintenance strategies, building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, coordinator and management of overall construction. Including handing over all process, systems knowledge and documentation to the operational teams. 
 
The appointee will have previous industrial and or manufacturing capital projects construction experience and exposure. Tertiary qualifications are essential in either mechanical, electrical or process engineering, with strong influencing and communication skills at all levels. The salary on offer is strong with a bonus incentive for the right candidate.
