Reporting to the Operations Improvement Superintendent this role will identify leading practice, measures and benchmarks and agreed improvement opportunities within the Port Operations.  In this position you will manage and administer business improvement initiatives across multiple disciplines of our Port Improvement Projects.

To be successful for this sought after position, you will preferably be a Six Sigma Black Belt with demonstrated experience in leading a team of project management or improvement professionals, have a solid understanding of value drivers, strong business acumen and comfortable communicating at a senior level.

• Proven experience in business and operations improvement preferably within a similar industry (Mining and or Port Operations)
• Knowledge of business improvement tools including Lean, 6 Sigma, quality management systems, business planning, balanced scorecard and business excellence models

Your experience will be complimented with formal qualification and training, ideally a Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering or Science. 

You will join a newly created team that undertakes the management of operations improvement of Port Operations in Port Hedland with approximately 170 employees.
