Our client has been awarded a contract by Chevron Australia Pty Ltd for the Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation work on the Gorgon Project on Barrow Island, Western Australia.The contract has an estimated value of $2 billion and is scheduled for completion in 2015.

The Role

The successful applicants will be required to work extended hours at the Project Office in Perth, and the project locations (Henderson & Barrow Island) as directed by the Project Director.

The contract scope of work includes the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning support for the construction of three LNG trains (with a total capacity 15 million tonnes per annum), including associated utilities and a domestic gas processing and compression plant.

• Reporting to the Project Controls Manager,
• Maintaining and updating the Project Cost Management System
• Carry out cost validation and projection.
• Wage rate analysis
• Track direct and indirect expenditure, including forecasting.
• Track man-hour expenditure and projection
• Track construction equipment and consumable usage and projection
• Utilize JDE for producing reports and cost tracking

Role Requirements

• 5+ years experience in Cost Control in appropriate Construction industry.
• Competent in the use of all Microsoft office tools, with particular expert use of Excel
• Competent in the use of the JDE accounting package.
