Maintenance Manager - Projects and Plant Development

An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join this reputable organisation providing construction materials and developing technology and processing equipment for the industry as a whole.

Based in the Southern suburbs of Brisbane and reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible to lead the maintenance staff to ensure the reliability and performance of plant machinery and equipment in a timely and cost effective fashion while being involved in plant improvement, upgrade projects, and equipment design for product development.

Equipment designed will be then manufactured in the well equipped engineering workshop on site.
 
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Development of effective asset management and maintenance strategies
  • Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance of plant equipment
  • Management of multi skilled maintenance technicians across various sites
  • Delivery of technical solutions for plant and equipment failure
  • Overseeing of design and manufacture of processing equipment on site
  • Implementation of effective Continuous Improvement Strategies
  • Staff training and development
To be successful in the role, you will have
  • At least 5 years experience as a Maintenance Manager in Mining or Quarry industries
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Relevant Trade qualifications
  • Excellent Time Management and Prioritisation skills
  • A good knowledge of Maintenance Computer Systems
  • Experience in the training and development of maintenance staff
  • Experience managing sub-contractors
  • Budgeting and forecasting skills
