Maintenance Specialist (Diesel)

Our client in the Mining Industry is looking to fill the Maintenance Specialist Diesel position , to design and review maintenance plans, analyse equipment data in order to identify and eliminate root causes of large and re-occurring failures.

Minimum Requirements

  • National diploma / N6 or
  • T4 or S4 Qualification or
  • N4 with Trade test
  • 5 years experience
  • 3 years in a Supervisory role
  • Trade/technical skills
  • Basic auto electrical knowledge
  • Pedestrian detection systems knowledge
  • Knowledge on Real Time Management System or any other similar vehicle protection systems
  • Must have FMEA, FMECA, RCMA and FMLEA systems knowledge

Job Specification

  • Prepare and plan for Departmental Budgets and cost forecast.
  • Approve workflow and ensure adherence to applicable Financial Policies and Procedure
  • Provide detailed relevant maintenance information for Capital Investment Projects
  • Identify and understand customer needs
  • Manage, maintain and improve relationships with key stakeholders
  • Report and investigate all HSEQC (Health Safety Environment Quality and Community) incidents.
  • Lead and manage the team
  • Recommend excellence and manage sub-standard performers
  • Execute optimal asset life by applying good maintenance practice
  • Enforce maintenance strategy per equipment
  • Ensure adherence to relevant Maintenance standards and specification
  • Analyse alternative solutions to problems and recommend best solutions through change management process
  • Review approved notifications, create work orders and review unplanned work orders
  • Master data management
