Compressor/Large Engine Mechanic
Job Description:
- Aerotek Energy Services is currently seeking 5 experienced compressor/caterpillar mechanics. These mechanics will be using company vehicles to travel between medium to large scale Marcellus compressor stations located in the Williamsport/Troy areas.
Primary Responsibilities and Assignments
- Provide on-site field mechanical service on gas compression and process equipment at client locations in the north central Pennsylvania region
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on multiple compressor systems (Caterpillar 3516 engines)
- Submit accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork
- Follows all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
- Assist with scheduled and emergency equipment repairs and maintenance
Education and Certification
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Engine or compressor training is a plus, but not required
Specific Work Background/Experience
- Minimum 6 months mechanical experience
- Knowledge of compression, process and production equipment, electrical systems
- Industrial equipment mechanic is a great transferable skill
Special Requirements/Additional Comments
Required:
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Basic computer skills and ability to be proficient using basic software programs
