- The Southeast District conducts its operations primarily through [Company] Infrastructure Southern Co., a subsidiary of [Company] Corporation. Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is to assist the Proposal Manager in the delivery of persuasive responses to Requests for Qualification (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP). Secondary responsibility is to develop and maintain marketing resources to support the RFQ and RFP process.
- The Proposal Administrator will act as a focal point for the collection of information from various sources in response to RFQs and RFPs. This person will have responsibility in administrating the entire proposal process, including: reviewing the requirements; developing compliance matrices; scheduling the proposal effort; participating in kickoff meetings; brainstorming, storyboarding and review sessions; developing section outlines; proposal preparation and final production. This person will also participate in the development of presentations including PowerPoint and display graphics. Support proposal team for client question and answering meetings and proposal presentation development.
- Additional responsibilities include: working with subject-matter experts to gather technical information to persuasively respond to section requirements; coordinating with a variety of team members throughout the development of the proposal to ensure that the pursuit milestones are met; tailoring resumes and past performance to RFQ and RFP requirements and evaluation criteria.
- The effort necessary to produce and publish the proposals will require the adherence to a style guide and specification formatting requirements, proof reading and editing text to ensure good grammar, punctuation, syntax and synthesis of sections. Graphics development to support the proposals key messages will be required and will include photos, charts, graphs and exhibits. Final proposal production efforts will include desktop publishing, creating covers, spines, table of contents, electronic files, printing and packaging materials for delivery.
Qualifications
- This position requires an individual with excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of the construction and/or design engineering industry to support dynamic proposal development efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing proposals in compliance with government solicitations for heavy civil and infrastructure projects.
- 5- 10 years of experience in related role with proposal editing and administration. Preferably with an emphasis on the construction or design engineering industry required, but not required.
- A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field.
- Solid organizational skills with a high level of focus on detail and quality are a must. This person must be able to work independently and within a changing team structure.
- Advanced experience in the use of Microsoft Office software. The ideal candidate will have experience with Adobe Design software preferably InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop as well as a strong graphics design expertise.
- The successful candidate will possess the following personal attributes: the ability to manage multiple assignments to completion while being attentive to detail and quality; independent, self-motivated, results-driven, well-composed, ability to think strategically, and a strong work ethic.
- Must have strong technical writing and organizational skills.
