Driller Helper-Exploration
Summary:
- The Driller Helper will report to the senior member of the drilling team and will be responsible for providing support during drilling operations. The helper will be responsible for training on equipment (various types of drilling rigs).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct hand labor ground activities.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs of all equipment.
- Assist with development of accurate drilling data.
- Be trainable as a driller, and work to become a driller over time.
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time.
- Be cross-trainable for other positions in the company.
- Perform tasks outside the Exploration Department functioning CAC Aggregates, such as fence building, cross training in aggregate plant, surveying, etc.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment.
- Obtain Texas CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) within 90 days.
- Be goal oriented, self motivated, and a team player.
- Be able to work extensively in outside environment.
- Have manual dexterity and physical strength to lift various drilling pipe and equipment.
- Ability to travel long distances by car or other commercial means
- Ability to work in inclement weather.
- Ability to stoop, crawl, reach, bend and kneel as required.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner and wear all required safety equipment.
