Maint Repair - AGGS TO SGA

Summary:

• This position reports to the Sr. Team Coordinator/Plant Processing and is responsible for the routine repair and maintenance of aggregate processing equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs to plant processing equipment and assist with the ordering of repair parts.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of equipment as needed.
• Assist with mobile equipment repairs as needed.
• Operate crane as needed to make repairs.
• Make walk thru visual inspections of plant to evaluate condition of equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards on assigned equipment and in all work areas.
• Assist with maintaining a working inventory of supplies and spare parts.
• Cut, weld and fabrication of various parts of plant equipment, chutes, conveyors, etc.
• Understand and follow all MSHA and TXI safety policies & standards.
• Complete daily safety and maintenance reports accurately.
• Relieve plant operator as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience in aggregate processing equipment maintenance.
• Furnish hand tools to perform work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Cutting, welding and fabrication skills are required.
• Ability and skills to make routine mechanical & electrical repairs to plant processing equipment.
• Able to work flexible schedule, including nights.
• Must be able to read and understand operator, parts and repair manuals.
• Train other plant employees in proper plant maintenance and repair.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 100 lbs. from ground to waist level and carry as far as 30 ft.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work up to 16 hrs./day.
• Must be able to climb a series of steps and ladders to height of 80 ft. up to 10 times a day and work out of a lift basket at heights up to 66 ft.
• Stoop and bend frequently.
• Walk up to 300 yards five times a day.
• Ability to use small and large hand tools.
