SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Saskatoon, SK
The recently established Saskatoon office requires a Senior Structural Engineer who will focus on establishing and growing Allnorth in the Saskatchewan market. With a strong technical background, the successful candidate will lead in Team Building, Business Development and Mentorship. The role will effectively manage engineers and project team members, foster strong relationships with clients, and pursue business development opportunities for Allnorth.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare preliminary and detailed design of civil works including concrete foundation and steel structures
- Estimate project costs; review designs, drawings and specifications; perform structural assessments/inspections; and prepare reports, proposals and contract documentation
- Effectively lead cross discipline teams to ensure projects are completed with high quality standards, within allotted schedules and budgets
- Actively pursue potential clients, business opportunities and areas of growth
- Ongoing mentorship of new and junior employees and overall team building
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with structural concentration; Masters degree an asset
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in heavy structural design, preferably in a consulting environment
- Experience working with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC CAN/CSA-S6-06) and National & SK Building Codes
- Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in SK
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
- Proven leadership and mentoring ability
