We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic people for the roles of Site Contracts Administrator. This role will be based on a mining project site in Nevada.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze the general terms and conditions of contracts to highlight areas of risk such as ambiguities, conflicts or deviations from scope of work.
• Provide administration of all contracts.
• Review progress and billing of contractors and monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Manage potential and effective changes to contracts.
• Ensure signing authorities are adhered to for commitments, changes and invoices.
• Monitor the progress of each contract including financial, legal and technical difficulties on a continual basis.
• Support the Procurement and Contracts Specialists / Coordinators. Obtain day-to-day guidance and direction from the Construction Manager.
• Make recommendations to Construction Manager to mitigate risks.
• Mediate with contractors and clients to resolve payment issues.
• Meet with contractors and clients to answer questions and resolve issues.
• Build a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives.
• Monitor financial risks and negotiate with contractors and clients to obtain settlements on deviations from contract.
• Be aware of assigned budgets and report on discrepancies.
• Comply with relevant Ausenco and client policies and procedures and work within legal and regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in contracts administration, ideally within a project environment.
• Specialized contracts courses preferred.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Ability to gather information and make appropriate decisions in a timely manner.
• Ability to use specific software required of the position at an intermediate or functional level.
• Intermediate or above in all Microsoft Office programs.
• High attention to detail.
• Willingness to relocate and/or travel.
• Fluency in other languages such as Spanish, French or Portuguese is considered an asset.
