My client is a well established builder who has demonstrated expertise in commercial, retail, aged care, residential apartments, and mining infrastructure up to $100m in value. They recently opened an office in Sydney and have an aged care project along with other associated buildings to construct in 2012.
It’s an exciting time to join this builder, with work in the pipeline from their own developments and tenders being worked on for other projects they are expecting considerable growth in 2012 and onwards.
The Role
I am looking for a highly experienced General Foreman who can run site activities autonomously on a project, commencing in March.
Reporting into an overall Site Manager you will run all site activities on this $12m job whilst he focuses overseeing all the projects and the paperwork side of the job and providing guidance and assistance where required.
Responsibilities:
All Site based activities.
Management and direction of sub-contractors.
OH&S and tool box talks ensuring zero harm site.
Driving the work forward on the project.
Ensuring that the quality of work is high.
The ideal candidate will be one step away from Site management in terms of skill and be able to demonstrate the following experience
Trade qualification.
Experience as a Foreman on Aged Care projects.
Excellent technical knowledge of trades and building.
Strong Management skills to get the job done and drive the programme with leadership rather than “table thumping”.
Able to help problem solve design/buildability issues.
The desire for a long-term move.
