Role Details
Gold Fields Australia are currently seeking an Emergency Services & Security Coordinator to join their Sustainable Development Team at Agnew Gold Mine. 
 
Reporting to the Manager: Sustainable Development, you will be responsible for the coordination and development of the Emergency Services and Security Department as a service entity of Gold Fields Agnew.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate a good level of knowledge and understanding of underground and surface mining operations, haulage mineral processing of precious metals and shared use infrastructure to enable the competent management of an emergency response and security service;
• Lead and engage the Emergency Services and Security team in the development of process to ensure best emergency service and security practices onsite;
• Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring for direct reports through effective use of the Performance Management System to provide regular, constructive feedback on performance, improve individual development and capability and enhance employee engagement, productivity and job satisfaction;
• Demonstrate commercial acumen by developing departmental budgets that effectively account for anticipated annual expenditure, development of documentation for capital expenditure and ensure adherence to allocated budget;
• Build the professionalism of the company by positively representing it in a number of forums relating to, but not limited to mine rescue committees and competitions, law enforcement agencies and community emergency response groups; and,
• Develop and maintain appropriate accurate information systems that capture relevant departmental activity to identify key performance indicators.

Key factors to your success include:

• Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
• At least 5 year in an Emergency Services and/or Security team
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office Applications
• Management or Leadership experience in an Emergency Services team environment is desirable
• Previous experience in delivery of Emergency Services in Underground Mining, Mineral Processing Environments will be highly regarded
