Technical Sales Representative Underground Mining

Our client is a Global Leader in Mine Shaft Systems for the underground mining industry has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Representative to join the Barrie based team.

A Technical Sales Representative is required for marketing  shaft equipment in the mining industry. He/She must have a track record in technical sales and should have a strong mechanical background with structural familiarity with understanding of fabrication.

Essential job duties include ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and drawings, prepare proposals and site visits. Travelling required throughout Canada, USA & South America.

The following is considered beneficial but not completely necessary:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or Technologist Diploma.
  • A basic knowledge of underground mining and hoisting.
  • Second language skills provide a distinct advantage (French and or Spanish would be an asset)
  • Experience in the underground mining industry.

Salary : $65,000-$75,000 plus benefits
