ELECTRICAL DESIGNER

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design of electrical systems for mining equipment, including, schematic designs and layouts
Creating electrical engineering designs to meet customer requirements using BOM's and master schematics
Supervising installation on equipment
Designing PLC and HMI programs
Completion of electrical engineering drawings and release/sign-off of documents
Provides engineering support for production, post sales, sales and marketing and other divisions as required
Interaction with customers and vendors regarding design related issues
Documentation support
Field support as required

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years experience in Electrical System Integration and Automation Field
Strong background in PLC programming, including analog values, communication, field bus
Experience in automotive harness design and electrical panel design using CAD software
Experience in HMI programming including, operator panels, PC based systems and C++ programming
Schematic design using AutoCAD (electrical) or equivalent
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Direct field experience relating to panel building, industrial wiring, commissioning and troubleshooting
Graduate of B Sc Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
