Employment Consultant

Entrepreneurial, driven individual to develop and grow with Express Employment Professionals - the largest privately owned employment services company in North America.  The individual would join the Mississauga or the Etobicoke based Express Employment Professional operation.

Overview of Opportunity

This position serves as the customer service link between client companies and the associates. The prime responsibility is to match talent with opportunity. This is accomplished by consistently administering Express systems and procedures in recruiting, hiring, and assigning associates to address client needs. The successful candidate in this position is also responsible for increasing sales by making telephone and in person sales calls.

Here is What You Will Be Doing

  • Full cycle recruitment to fill both evaluation hire and full time placements.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies and programs to attract a continuous flow of applicants.
  • Receive and process inquiry calls from applicants and associates.
  • Conduct job interviews, administer and score tests, evaluate applicant skills, abilities, and availability.
  • Determine applicant suitability.
  • Complete employment process by auditing all applicant-completed documents and conduct orientations about Express policies, procedures, compensation, benefits, and the employer/employee relationship.
  • Fill job orders - Determine associate compatibility and availability and assign to client.
  • Monitor and record associate performance and provide necessary feedback.
  • Provide associate counseling and appropriate disciplinary action to correct performance problems.
  • Terminate unsatisfactory associates.
  • Work collaboratively with entire Express team to identify and fill client needs.
  • Share information with inside team and outside sales representatives to increase sales.
  • Generate and expand business with existing accounts and new accounts.

Are you Qualified?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
  • Thorough understanding and facility with a variety of computer applications including: MS Office, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Excel
  • Proven track record in placing candidates in various disciplines including but not limited to: skilled trades, administrative, executive, engineering, IT and financial.
  • Driven, outgoing personality
  • Prospecting, mining and developing prospects and client contacts
  • Working knowledge of and experience in using social media as a source for recruiting applicants
  • Insatiable desire to succeed and make a difference with both clients and candidates
  • Indefatigable and unwavering positive attitude
  • Strong phone and interpersonal skills are an essential part of this role.
