Our client is well regarded in the mining industry with major projects in Australia and overseas. They are recognized as the leader in providing expertise in engineering and environmental science within the strong resource sector.
Due to business growth, our client is seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Engineer/Scientist to provide senior leadership to their established team and to also provide services to the resource and infrastructure industries.

Primarily, your responsibilities will include:
Develop and maintain clients and actively pursue new business opportunities
Manage complex projects and review technical environmental reports
Mentor junior and intermediate staff and encourage professional development in their careers
Leadership in technical elements of a project and management of project teams.

Ideally, your key attributes are as follows:

Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar
Approximately 15+ years experience in a mining or consulting environmental role
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Client management and business development skills
Ability to undertake travel as required
Managing and participating in multidisciplinary projects.
