Co has a core production base in carbon and stainless steel raw materials through our manganese, nickel and chromite businesses in Western Australia – cementing our position as a niche supplier of high-quality, strategic minerals to world markets.
 
We have over 450 employees and contractors working at our manganese and chromite operations in the Pilbara region and our nickel operations in the Kambalda region of Western Australia. We have a strong commitment to growth through exploration with active exploration programs underway across all of our core commodity areas.
 
We are also developing new commodity opportunities in other growth areas with investments in copper, zinc and iron ore, and we are pursuing other diversification and expansion initiatives to help us realise our vision of becoming a premier global diversified resources company.
 
The current role on offer is for Excavator Operators at Woodie Woodie Manganese Operations, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara. The right applicant will be offered a competitive remuneration package, a 2:1 roster FIFO from Perth, and will enjoy the luxury of staying in a newly built camp, facilities and culture.
 
Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, the successful applicant will be required:
  • Perform all work activities with the highest regards to industry safety standards.
  • Be self motivated, proactive, express a positive attitude and have a keen interest in pursuing a career in Open pit Mining.
  • Operate predominately 1250-8 Excavators in a production mining environment
  • Load Dump Trucks, maintain benches, run pit, keep a clean level floor and direct trucks
  • Ensure and promote safe working practises
  • Liaise with other Mining personnel to achieve production goals.
Requirements to be successful in this role are:
  • Have a considerable amount of experience operating 1250 Excavators.
  • Safe work ethics
  • Strong concentration skills
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Outgoing with strong initiative
  • Physically fit
  • Team player
  • Current HR drivers licence
