One of the in the fastest growing companies in Australia with a healthy pipeline of major exploration projects across coal, gold, iron ore, copper, zinc is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to lead a start-up Environmental Division, develop new business opportunities and help grow our Environmental Management Division. 

Reporting to the Environmental Lead we are looking for a senior environmental professional that can fulfill environmental planning, audit and as well as manage the EIS process, You will provide high value environmental permitting and compliance services; leading an internal and/or external team as required to meet client needs. 

You will be responsible for:
  • Undertaking environmental permitting and approvals 
  • Using you established network within the Mining industry to help develop new business opportunities and grow the division  
  • Coordination of environmental impact assessment work 
  • Provision of strategic advice and reviews 
  • Technical reporting and interpretation 
  • Assisting project teams with site inspections for effective works management and compliance with agreements and environmental codes 
Your experience and qualifications will include:
  • Degree qualifications in Environmental Science, Planning or related discipline with experience in the areas of environmental impact assessment and planning 
  • Proven significant experience in a similar role  
  • Thorough understanding of environmental regulation systems  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with client staff and government agencies at all levels 
  • Experience in project management and GIS systems
