Our client's products have been manufactured and sold within Australia for over 50 years. They are an ISO 9001 registered company, manufacturing specialty adhesive, epoxy, urethane and silicone systems. As an industry leader, their adhesives, and coatings are widely used in the most demanding mining, infrastructure and industrial applications.

As part of their growth they are now currently seeking to engage a Product Marketing / Technical Sales Professional with experience in construction chemicals. The position requires an ability to understand the customer's application and translate these needs into product sales. The position will support the sales and technical teams and will also involve valuable interaction with customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide marketing direction to support and grow sales, profits and market share for assigned brand/product portfolio 
  • Develop strategies and marketing plans to achieve agreed objectives
  • Support sales management with promotions and sales strategies and aids
  • Work closely with the sales and technical groups to understand their current technologies and to develop future technology platforms
  • Undertake trade focus research to understand markets, customers and product opportunities 
  • Address customer needs, product range shortcomings and seek new product opportunities and monitor competitive developments
  • Develop product price catalogues, sales aids, technical information, advertising and merchandising materials for assigned product portfolio
As the successful candidate for the role you will ideally possess most of the following capabilities. You will be a self starter and have excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
  • A degree in marketing, chemistry, material science, or engineering
  • Proven track record of developing marketing plans and collateral materials for growing sales
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point and Email)
