Civil Engineer

R 720 - R750 P/A CTC

Formal Qualification

B Eng (Civil)/ BTech Civil
Pr Eng/Pr Tech

Experience

Minimum 10 - 15 years’ experience in the design of municipal infrastructure services, preferably in a consulting engineering environment
Site supervision experience

Competencies

Good understanding of water networks, sanitation services & municipal roads
Training and managing of junior staff
Good communication
Good understanding of Marketing and Business development.
Able to deal with clients and colleagues in managing municipal infrastructure projects

Special requirements

Able to teach / lead young graduates
Practical rather than academic approach
Ability to interact with people externally (on the same level or higher)
Aptitude for business
Level 4 leader i.e. Catalyses commitment to and vigorous pursuit of a clear and compelling vision, stimulating higher performance standards

Responsibility

Leader of Civil design team
Business development in municipal and mining sectors
Computer Competency Requirements
Civil Designer
Knowledge of AutoCAD (Desirable)
MS Office

Languages (Written & Spoken)

Good command of the English language
Any other language proficiency will be a bonus
