FIFO 8/6 ex Perth

Based within our Rail Operations in Port Hedland, you will be responsible for facilitating the effective implementation and application of the Fortescue Health and Safety procedures and standards for the department.

Your duties will include:
  • Implementing Health and safety systems and practices to ensure compliance with company department objectives
  • Coach and advise Line Managers and HSE Representatives
  • Promote compliance with HSES standards and procedures
  • Ensure correct use of all systems and procedures
  • Identify and communicate risks and preventative measures, and escalate issues to senior levels
  • Assist with the improvement of Health and Safety systems and their application
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
  • Minimum Certificate IV in OHS
  • Experience in maintenance or operations positions, preferably in the resources sector
  • 2+ years of experience in an OHS role
  • Experience in Accident Investigations and knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Previous experience in rail would be desirable but is not essential
