Senior Metallurgical Engineer

Job Specification

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Metallurgical Engineer in a High Profile Mining Organisation based in the Northern Cape.

Role description

• The role requires you conduct research work in order to initiate process changes, investigate, plan and implement improvement projects.
• Manage projects with regard to processes, technology and equipment.
• Liaise with other development sections in evaluation of new technology to improve process capabilities and product quality.
• Advise line management with regard to production and product quality related problems.
• You will be responsible for the technical development and coaching of Engineers- and Technicians-in-Training.
• Represent the Metallurgical discipline in project teams and implementation of plant Management Information System.

Who we're looking for

• You need a B.Sc or B.Eng in Metallurgy,
• At least 6 year's relevant experience of which 3 years in a management position and a valid driver's licence.
• You will be required to pass a medical fitness certificate in order to be considered for this position.
